TRIMMING THE FAT
Every so often, I check my body fat percentage to make sure the weight that I’m gaining is from muscle.
I spent my twenties in the single digit range. And when I eat right, I can always expect the same results.
So I had a complete melt down + total freak out when I landed squarely at 14% this week.
Until I read this statement in a research article:
” A longtime rule of thumb is the fitness community has been that people tend to gain the most muscle at 10-15% body fat.”
Once again, I am reminded that we are all provided with exactly what we need, when we need it, in order to accomplish what we need.
I guess the only unnecessary fat here is in my own head.
