Annie is playing so I’ve played Tomorrow countless times for so very very very many MANY pre-theatre dinners this week.
Nobody ever asks for any of the other songs from the musical.
Maybe it’s because this particular song reminds us that in a Hard Knock Life, You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile.
So when a dad with his daughter came up to the piano and said, “look, honey ! he’s making the pretty music by pushing all those buttons!”, I remembered that I have the keys to my own responses and reactions.
Nobody is going to push my buttons if I don’t let them.
